History

Gulliver is a modern garlic variety bred in Russia, created in the early 2000s. The variety was developed by horticultural institute breeders, purposefully crossing large-bulbed, high-yielding lines to obtain a winter-hardy, resilient, and visually impressive garlic variety with great market potential.

The variety is registered in the Russian state register of breeding achievements, where it quickly became popular due to its stable yield, large cloves, and mildly spicy taste. “Гуливер” spread widely in household gardens and commercial farms throughout Eastern Europe, remaining relevant even today.
