Winter/spring garlic variety "MESSIDROME"

Messidrome is a highly valued softneck (does not form flower stalks) type of garlic variety, distinguished by its large bulb size, visually attractive white color, and pleasant, mild taste. It is one of the most stable and productive varieties in Europe, especially suitable for spring planting.
The variety is known for:
-
good and uniform sprouting
-
early ripening
-
large bulbs with 10–16 cloves
-
very good storability
Thanks to its mild taste, Messidrome is especially suitable for everyday cooking, salads, sauces, and dishes where aroma is needed but not pronounced sharpness.
History
Messidrome is one of the best-known French softneck garlic varieties, developed in France at the end of the 20th century. It was created as a refined commercial variety to provide uniform quality, high yield, and long storage capability — especially for the southern and western regions of France, where garlic cultivation is a long-standing tradition.
The variety quickly gained popularity among professional farms because it stood out with exceptionally uniform, large bulbs without scapes (no flower stalks) and very good adaptation to mild and moderate climates. Thanks to these features and early ripening time, Messidrome became one of the major export garlic standards in Europe.
Since the 1990s–2000s, it has also spread to Northern and Central Europe, where it is valued for reliable yields and a relatively mild but rich aroma.
